Geysir

Another place we visited on the Golden Circle was a geothermal area where you can find the geysers Geysir and Strokkur. A geyser is a hot spring where water boils and is shot up in the air along with steam at regular intervals.
As you're walking along the paths you can see steam rising from the ground. There are signs everywhere warning you not to touch any puddles or stray from the paths. The water in the puddles can be 240 degrees!
The geyser Strokkur erupts every 6 minutes and is 60 feet high.
